Take My Eyes
Carme Portaceli and part of her team from Factoría Escénica Internacional travelled to the capital of Vietnam, where they staged Take My Eyes. This was the second international production by this artistic collective — the first was When Five Years Pass by Lorca, in Caracas.
The production, based on the original screenplay of the film by Icíar Bollaín, which she directed in 2003, brought together artists from both countries. From FEI’s side, it included set and lighting designer Paco Azorín, director Carme Portaceli, and actress Gabriela Flores.
The premiere took place at the Hanoi Opera House. It was a co-production between the Vietnam National Drama Centre and FEI, with the support of INAEM (Spanish Ministry of Culture) and the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation.
