The FEI director Carme Portaceli has been chosen as the new director of the Spanish Theatre<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Carme Portaceli<\/strong> graduated in Art History<\/strong> from the University of Barcelona<\/strong>. In 1982<\/strong>, she joined Teatre Lliure<\/strong>, where she started working as an assistant director to Fabi\u00e0 Puigserver<\/strong> and Llu\u00eds Pasqual.<\/strong> <\/p>\n
Portaceli is the founder of the Factoria Esc\u00e8nica Internacional<\/strong>, a platform dedicated to the creation, production, and dissemination of contemporary performing arts.<\/strong><\/p>\n
A director of numerous productions, last season she premiered two shows: one based on real cases that gave light and voice to women imprisoned<\/strong>, executed<\/strong>, and buried during the Spanish Civil<\/strong> War; and a Tennessee Williams<\/strong> play starring Aitana S\u00e1nchez-Gij\u00f3n<\/strong> at the Centro Dram\u00e1tico Nacional.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/body>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
